There has been a heated debate whether films made by individuals have a positive or negative effect. While some contend that this development offers some benefits to the film industry, personally, I believe that this trend has both positive and negative effects.
On the one hand, some argue that individual filmmakers can offer a wide variety of movies. For example, individuals can have distinctive creative ideas on the same topic as others like science fiction or romance. This can lead to a wider range of audience, thus boosting sales for the industry. Moreover, low budget filmmakers are able to freely express their own opinions on movies. While movie co-operations are entitled to a widely-agreed public opinion to please mainstream media, individual filmmakers have more room to convey their feelings toward people. As a result, many of these filmmakers often stand out as the more preferable choice for everyone’s own preference.
On the other hand, others are cornering about its detrimental effect it exert on society. Although individual filmmakers are getting larger attention, big companies might lose their loyal fanbase. This is because people in this modern society often side with rich feelings rather than its cinema quality. Therefore, high budget movies are not getting enough ticket sales to recover from the initial budget burden. This may lower our experience quality in the filming industry and result in worse sales outcomes.
In conclusion, while the skyrocketing of individual filmmakers has both potential benefits and negative effects on society, it is still advisable to consider movies based on other factors.
