In recent years, automation and mechanize is becoming mainstream in many industries, which has aroused wide controversy.
As far as I am concerned, despite several drawbacks, I regard it as a positive trend.
Admittedly, the widely use of sophisticated machines has caused some workers to lose their jobs. The machines do not need to rest, they will work without any complaints as long as they have enough electric power. Besides, the machines will automate some physically demanding tasks and jobs, such as assembly line of cars, with fewer mistakes than humans. Based on the above, workers who have various living demand will not have competitive to machines. However, limited reduction of junior staff and investment in cultivating core staff or developing products have a positive impact on the enterprise.
However, the problems mentioned above are not significant enough to cover the benefits brought by this advantage. The machines can be used in certain jobs include those likely to harm humans. For example, some people engaged in work related emergency rescue and disaster relief may sustain injuries from the sudden collapse of the walls, resulting in disabilities. Nonetheless, the use of rescue robots has led to a decrease in the number of people getting injured. Additionally, machines can better ensure the stability of products than humans. Some parts of precision machines often require precise craftsmanship, which humans are hard to maintain. The automatic machine tools provide a new option for factories, they can consistently produce high-quality parts without requiring high wage.
In conclusion, I tend to believe that the merits of automation and mechanize outweigh its drawbacks, as above opinions.
