Research is vital for future inventions and developments. Currently, private companies fund many medical research programs. In my opinion, research should primarily be conducted by companies and individuals. In this essay, I will explain my viewpoint with supporting reasons.
To begin with, research conducted by companies is likely to yield unbiased results. Companies engage in research to drive future growth and innovation. To develop effective medicine and reliable medical equipment, they require accurate and dependable data. Therefore, medical research should be carried out by private companies, as many people tend to trust them more than the government, which is often influenced by political motives and the desire to maintain power.
Furthermore, medical research conducted by doctors is more likely to be accepted and trusted by the public. People generally place greater trust in doctors than in government representatives. For example, mothers often trust the doctor who delivered their child, and they follow their doctor’s advice to ensure their child receives all necessary vaccinations. Additionally, doctors are well-equipped to address any complications that might arise during the research process.
In conclusion, private companies currently invest heavily in medical research. In my view, it would be more beneficial and yield more accurate results if research were conducted by companies and individuals with medical backgrounds. Private companies have greater financial stability to develop medicines and create advanced medical equipment compared to the government.
