A group of people prefer to communicate on social media rather than face-to-face. While acknowledging positive sides of online communication, I believe that real talking is much more sensitive.
Firstly, in recent decades technology has developed rapidly and it affects our routines in all areas. Connecting with each other is one of the basic needs for humanity since the tribal societies. As a result, this soaring transformation in the technology could not have left this field uninfluenced. Nowadays everyone can keep in touch with their relatives easily wherever they live by using social media and different calling applications. Moreover, it gives you some chances for meeting new friends regardless of nationality, location or age.
In contrast, irrespective of advantages of distant talking there are numerous issues on the dark side of “the Moon”. Experts concern that while increasing availability and convenience impacts negatively our feelings and social skills. Renowned Turkish blogger and social scientist Baris Ozcan mentioned it: “Now users enjoy the innovative communication ways, but we must consider the future of next generations as our ancestors did it for us. Excessive unpredictable changes in our lifestyle can be devastating for our inborn behaviour. If we calculate and analyze these probabilities we might turn the situation in our favor.”
In additionally, conscious awareness can be beneficial to reach the final solution. By using media, people can be encouraged to face-to-face communication with explaining its advantages. We should admit that, some human based facial actions like mimics, gestures can not be interpretated by online methods and thus losing of senses and naturalness becomes unavoidable when we are talking rather than in traditional ways this problems not happens.
In conclusion, welcoming new challenges and steps is valuable and we should appreciate it. But pragmatic methods help us stay connected with our roots and keep us much more lively
