Band 6+: Nowadays many people travel to foreign countries for pleasure. Some believe this travel has a negative impact on the countries travelled to. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In the contemporary era, many travelers seek entertainment by visiting other countries. While some people believe that traveling abroad has positive aspects, others argue that it has negative effects on the cities visited. I partially agree with this statement, and in the following paragraphs, I will explore this notion along with my perspective.

On one hand, I support this view for several reasons. To begin with, students travel to receive a high-quality education that meets their academic needs. Additionally, adults and other age groups may travel to find a comfort zone and take a step back from their negative thoughts. Furthermore, many people travel to make new friends from other countries and learn about different cultures and traditions. For example, a survey conducted by a statistics center in Morocco showed that traveling has numerous benefits for individuals, which can positively impact the communities they visit.

On the other hand, I disagree with this idea for several reasons. Initially, when people travel alone, they may feel homesick, which can lead to depression and other health problems. Moreover, some travelers may cause harm to the countries they visit, including committing crimes and murders. Additionally, many travelers are unfamiliar with the local culture and traditions, which can lead to misunderstandings and a perception that locals are harmful. For instance, Kuwait University demonstrated that travelers who visit a country without sufficient knowledge of its customs can negatively affect that country.

In conclusion, while some people travel for relaxation and peace, which can be beneficial, I predict that visitors who travel to other countries without adequate information will have a negative impact on both citizens and governments.
