It is indeed becoming increasingly common for people in many parts of the world to move to developed areas, but what are the advantages and disadvantages of this decision? In this essay, I am going to discuss this development and give my personal opinion.
First and foremost, we should consider the benefits of moving to a megacity. By making this decision, people may have the opportunity to achieve various goals such as enjoying a comfortable and modern lifestyle, earning a higher salary, accessing quality education, and visiting amusement places to relax. For instance, going to Tashkent can be a great decision to improve one’s skills with modern technology, meet famous artists and musicians, and visit skyscrapers like Nest One and Hilton. Another important advantage of living in a city is the availability of advanced public transportation, such as subways, buses, and trams, which residents can choose over private cars. Private vehicles require large expenses for petrol and maintenance, while public transport is usually faster and more convenient in urban traffic.
Nevertheless, living in an urban environment has its drawbacks. First of all, we have to look at the economic side, because living in a developed city is expensive due to the high cost of housing and food. It feels costly, especially for people who are used to living in private houses without rent and buying cheaper products in local markets. For example, the average monthly apartment price in Tashkent today is more than $80, which may not be affordable for people from rural areas. In addition, city centers often contain a significant amount of hazardous gases, and the constant traffic and noise can cause stress and fatigue. As a result, our capital – Tashkent – often ranks high in global air pollution statistics.
In conclusion, in my opinion, in order to achieve something, people have to sacrifice something, and the potential benefits of living in a city far outweigh the possible drawbacks.
