Nowadays, studying abroad has become more accessible for many students which improves thier education and their lifestyle. As a result, discussions about the advantages and disadvantages have surfaced and become an interesting conversation. In my opinion the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
One of the main advantages of studying overseas is the improved and prestigious education a student receives (for example in university of Harvard or Oxford), potentially leading to more and better job opportunities as well as higher paying jobs. Another benefit of studying abroad is the personal benefits that come with it such as broaden horizons, new friends, more relationships, network, new perspectives and more knowledge of other cultures and their way of living.
On the other hand, there are many difficulties to studying internationally which students may experience such as the struggle to understand lectures and writing assignments which are presented in another language (for example, students in Germany may need extra German lessons) Another downside is the cultural difference socially and academically as they may have other holidays they celebrate or other unusual things they do. Studying in another country may also lead to homesickness and missing family and friends which may lead to stress and depression to some students.
In conclusion, getting higher education overseas can be very beneficial,students can get a better education, but there are some disadvantages like being alone. In my opinion the benefits overrule the cons because in the end the best education stays for a long period of time.
