These days, there is a growing competition between the younger and older individuals, especially who need jobs. While a number of issues are associated with this, it can be tackled if proper steps are taken.
This problem is responsible for having adverse effect on both societies and workplaces. One possible effect is that the freshers will get less opportunities in the job sector. This is because older people come up with experience that the newly graduates do not have. As a result, unemployment rate is likely to be increased among the youngers, leading their families to struggle financially. Furthermore, the older individuals lack technological knowledge which is of utmost importance nowadays. In this modern era, the use of technology is getting increased in every industries, and that is the reason companies need employees who are familiar with the new machineries. However, if the companies or industries have older people as employees, it may result in lower production for them.
However, this problem can be solved by initiating a course of action. Firstly, financial assistance can be provided to the elderly people because they serve for their families, communities and countries throughout their entire lives. Consequently, it becomes a responsibility to make easy for them to take rest at the end of the career. Moreover, governments can launch some training programs where the older people will be taught to operate new technological devices. In the event that this happens, older people will be able to contribute even more in their work stations, leading to have more production. Hence, the companies or industries may get benefited by them financially.
In conclusion, although this problem has several negative impacts, effective measures can reduce the problem to a great extent.
