Nowadays, there are a lot of issues appearing in the job market. One of them is the high competition between older workers and younger ones. Even more, it is hard for younger people to find entry-level jobs due to the strong competition among candidates. So, in this essay I will discuss the problem and provide some solutions.
First of all, there truly exists a strong competition between older job seekers, who are probably more experienced, and younger people who are mostly fresh graduates with no experience at all. Consequently, candidates who have more experience are preferred by human resources or managers to get the jobs as they are more qualified, and they don’t need any training to start working. And to solve this, I would recommend people who have never worked before to apply to a training program or even being a volunteer if that’s possible, which may assist their CVs.
Furthermore, the vast majority of unemployed people are searching in large firms and huge organizations, so that makes it difficult to get the position since large companies have high standards and qualifications for their employees. As a result, I believe that the best option for individuals with low qualifications is to apply in small businesses until they become experts and more familiar with their field, especially local businesses in small cities or urban areas.
In conclusion, it is really important for the unemployed to get training programs before applying for work in order to be fitted. As well as considering local enterprises since most of them don’t require highly skilled workers.
