Recently, the world has witnessed a trend of people showing their burning desire to finish things immediately. From my perspective, the reason for this lies in the fast-paced nature of modern life, which is likely to cause adverse effects on humans’ well-being.
To begin with, when there are a variety of events happening within a single second nowadays, it is undeniable that people have no alternative but to gravitate to instant results with a view to not being left behind. Many individuals reveal a tendency to suffer from work overload but still have other responsibilities such as family or even our community. As a result, in such a hectic environment, saving time is crucial for the whole society, regardless of age, skin colour or occupations. As long as people still aim at prolonging their spare time, they will want to get things completed swiftly.
However, the relentless pursuit of the ability to have instant results also has its drawbacks. Obviously, we can not guarantee the quality of an outcome if it has just been done in only a short period of time, which actually causes a potential decline in not only the products themselves but also the enterprise’s reputation. Moreover, when speed becomes the primary focus, other factors such as accuracy or safety of the workplace can be overlooked. Under no circumstances should these key elements be ignored since there is a strong possibility that the workers can be negatively affected on their overall well-being.
In conclusion, we can not question the fact that more and more people now want things to be done quickly on account of keeping updated with the rapid speed of contemporary life. Nevertheless, this tendency is nothing more than a serious concern around the globe as the quality of products is not as good as it used to be and the security of the working environment is also compromised.
