Today’s is witnessing an significant increase in people’s demand, which is immediate services, information and tasks. This essays aim to cite possible reasons and present my arguments as to why I deem it as a negative development.
When it comes to reasons of demand of constant things, the rapid development of technology is the first and foremost factor. The rise of digital platforms has created an expectation for immediate results. For example, the emergence of Grab Food, an app where people can order prepared online, people tend to have their dishes from their preferred restaurants delivered to their doorstep in a short amount of time. Additionally, the fast-paced nature of modern life also results in this demand. One possible explanation is that more and more people dumps into hectic schedule and competitive society, so it is justifiable as to why they heighten the wish for efficent and time-saving apprpoaches.
Despite possible merits, I would still argue that this trend have greater demerits. Firstly, it can lead to a sense of importance and unrealistic expectations, as well as a decreased tolerance for delayed outcomes. The more rapidly people have things done, the less carefulness they have. This can result in superficial understanding, and a lack of carefulness in making decisions. Additionally, when speed becomes the primary focus, other factors such as accuracy or safety of the workplace can be overlooked. Therefore, workers can be negatively affected their overall well-being.
In conclusion, for the reasons mentioned above, the prompt access to the services, information and tasks represents quite imperative issue. Moreover, it seems to me that the advantages are overshadowed by the disadvantages.
