This essay will argue how the advantages override disadvantages. It will first demonstrate the negative aspects that how purchasing low priced goods harm the environment, affect the wage rate and led to overconsumption followed by positive aspects like enjoying luxury lifestyle and saving money.
To commence with, spending money on low cost products negatively effect the ecosystem. To elaborate it, if the demand of commodities rise the supply will also significantly increase which means companies have to make more products which dispose by-products as a result it become difficult for them to recycle it which pollute the environment. Additionally, companies often lower the wage rate to make a balance between companies profit and social welfare so that they can recover their loss. Apart from this, purchasing goods at lower prices also led to overconsumption. To explain it, large number of people get influenced by the discounts deals and purchase multiple unnecessary goods. For example, there are number of deals of Black Friday, Boxing day and people go for shopping and purchase the products which they do not really need.
However, by acquiring items like air conditioners, refrigerators and clothing people can live luxury lifestyle as it also consumer goods they buy expensive products at lower prices similar to rich people. For example, Walmart have policy of save money live better and recently there was sale on everything like toasters, clothes, grocery which encourage the customers to purchase and enjoy rich lifestyle.
