These days, art facilities and historical public objects will reduce in megacity, this is now one of the controversial issues from that public citizens can see through their computers, tablet PCs, and especially through smartphones. This phenomenon is a hot potato in today or near future. In this essay, I disagree that historical public facilities will not be used.
First of all, personal computers, tablet pads, and mobile phones exert a positive influence on human beings. For instance, we use smartphones through the Internet shopping, listen to high-quality music, and even participate in online classes. And could visit some countries’ heritage places or famous public objects: the British Museum, the pyramid of Egypt’s Giza, the Temple of Jerusalem and so on. Hence, some people argue that historical and cultural objects will not be visited.
On the other hand, if we do not use these things, could lose very important historical and cultural heritages. When I honeymoon travelling Osaka, Japan, I was surprised and excited to see the Osaka Castle of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. He attacked Chosun, today’s Korea, but he failed the war by Great General Soon-shin Lee in 1597. I already know that the won history of Chosun War (Japanese invasions of Korea). Therefore, visiting Osaka Castle of royal place is exert a positive influenced on me that historical heritages are given us such as history education, widely our perspectives (discriminations), strong or critical thinking, positive attitude and so on. These things are playing an important role in our life.
In conclusion, the development of PCs or smartphones is given benefits: increasing human lifespan, confidence, search and research of history and so on. Nevertheless, I suggest that historical and cultural heritages are playing an important role in our daily quality of life and find of their nation’s identity. Thus, these should work together.
