In recent decades, stress has become an inseparable part of daily life. This can be attributed to a number of reasons, and I believe prompt measures should be taken to address it.
One of the primary causes of experiencing stressful life by the majority is increasing pressure at work. As job requirements become more demanding, employees are often expected to handle heavy workloads as well as meet tight deadlines, requiring them to work for longer hours. This situation makes it difficult to joggle their professional responsibilities with personal commitments, which means neglecting other aspects of their lives. Unless individuals engage in stress-relieving activities like spending quality time with family, they will feel burnout and anxiety leading to intensifying stress level. Perhaps the widespread use of digital media is another trigger. Through news media individuals are exposed to concerning news like wars, military conflicts and, in particular, environmental crises, as they impact directly on the planet and human life. The given reasons may trigger concern among people.
However, there are several effective solutions to tackle these problems. First, employers can create a healthier work environment by offering more balanced working hours. If employees have more leisure time, they access more opportunities to enjoy their desired activities, helping them escape from hectic and stressful modern life. That is why residents living in countries with lower working hours, consistently appear in the top list of the least stress populations. To resolve the effect of negative reports, media outlets should not only minimize the spread of disappointing news but also provide practical solutions alongside reported news. When people realize they can take actions to address problems, they feel less anxiety. These actions can help alleviate the pressure most people face.
In conclusion, while unbalanced work-life and exposure to alarming news heighten stress level, employers and media outlets can contribute to a happier atmosphere to live. In my opinion, if they do not take their responsibility towards people, human life will face dire consequences in the near future.
