Nowadays, there are lots of new styles of music have appeared from rap to RNB. Accordingly, people’s opinion about the influence of music on the younger generation is divided.
Some are convinced that it spoils the youth , while others find only positive impact.
Talking about the first point of view,some of the modern popular songs really contain propaganda of destructive behavior, which can motivate teenagers to do the same actions. In addition , huge part of lyrics worsen the mental state of the young , increasing anxiety , negative emotions and apathy.
However, I believe that modern music helps younger generation to find themselves and express their experiences . It often raises topics relevant to them ,such as love, self-acceptance and coping with difficulties, which contributes their emotional support and the formation of self-identity. Moreover, music encourages creativity , develops imagination and gives inspiration, which has a positive effect on personal improvement.
In conclusion, modern music has its own advantages and disadvantages. The way it affects a person is his own choice. For some it is salvation , for others it is aggravation of the situation.
