Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In this era of technology, people tend to follow what they see on various social platforms. This can be in terms of fashion, we mostly followed by youngsters. Let’s go through why is this a common behaviour and what are the pros and cons.

First and foremost some people take shopping as a part of their hobby while others take it as a chance to treat themselves. Due to shortage of time and between the busy schedule, the only preferable time left is leisure time for shopping. For sure, majority shopping induces serotonin boost or gather new fashion sense however shopping can give them creativity for instance if someone is in a bad mood shopping may fix it all.

In contrast, shopping may have few drawbacks although it depends from person to person shopping may become form of addiction; something in which a lot of money can be spent on. Other reasons may include an indirect damage to the ecosystem. The clothes that are not worn gets thrown away the solution to that can be giving that away to the needy. This helps to kill two birds with one stone; the needy gets clothes and no harm is done to the environment. Another irreversible damage can be wasting precious time, this time could have been spent more efficiently too.

In a nutshell, shopping may have both negative and positive impact on someone’s life, in positive sense a person can adorn themselves in new fashion piece. In my opinion, this leisure time can be spent more effectively by allocating smaller amount of time in shopping and focusing on other hobbies too.
