In today’s modern society, social media has lots of impact on young people and they tend to admire famous athletes and take them as a role model although these role model often give a bad example. It is true that this development brings negative impacts and the reasoning will be discussed in this essay.
Firstly, many children nowadays have started watching lots of sport channels or sport activities and certainly they will be influenced by their favourite player. Children who are watching their ideal personality, start to know more about sports Stars’ private life. Most of sport athletes dropped out of school to take part in sport and this will have bad effect on young generation. If children follow their role models’ footsteps and do not take serious in learning, their future will be a hard task for them.
In addition, although the sport stars maybe success and famous but they usually be seen as a person who only cares about money, popularities and benefits for themselves. The sport athletes can earn a gigantic amounts of money, but they prefer to spare money on shopping, travelling and also social issues like drugs instead of doing charity. Therefore, this kind of role model do not deserve for the youth to admire.
In conclusion, I suppose the phenomenon that young people I idolize sports stars who are fail to uphold the standards of behaviours may brings an enormous negative impacts.
