Nowadays, a group of people suggests that elderly people are more preferable managers and company directors than younger ones. In my opinion, age has nothing to do with the level of qualification. In fact, sometimes young blood can bring a new perspective that can probably improve the quality of work. Moreover, new specialists have more energy and free time to spend on work.
Firstly, improvement and growth of the company is usually closely connected to new experience that comes with younger workers. Due to this fact, they can share it with older specialists showing more contemporary ways of thinking and achieving working goals. Furthermore, today, with the increasing use of technology, young professionals, who are confident in using it, are more valuable than older ones. For instance, a lot of companies started to use artificial intelligence which can give a strong boost to the demand for their services on the market, and a lot of young specialists are able to use it. Therefore, younger workers can be great company directors and managers because of their contemporary skills and minds.
Secondly, younger professionals tend to have more energy and desire to improve their skills, learn new things and take refresher courses. Consequently, they will be able to understand the fast-changing market and keep up with it. In addition, young blood are usually career seekers and prefer to spend their free time on work rather than having family unlike the older generation. For example, they are more available to go on an important business trip or stay late at work. These are the qualities of a good company leader. Hence, younger specialists are better for this job.
In conclusion, I believe that age is not a determination of good qualification. On the contrary, younger specialists are able to improve companies with their contemporary point of view as well as with their energy and desire to work.
