Special occasions such as birthdays or weddings does not come by very often. Hence, while a number of people find it necessary to celebrate these days in a best possible way, some may have a distinct opinion. This essay will explore the arguments on both sides and conclude with my viewpoint.
First and foremost reason to justify the celebration of special days is that we only live once. These celebrations fill up our life with colors of happiness and joy and in addition, some unforgettable memories are generated with family and friends. For instance, Significant number of people get married once only . Therefore celebrating the significant day of tying knots with our better half with full joy without financial concerns would not be a regretful decision.
On the other hand, individuals believing that these spendings are not necessary could have this opinion because of their practical approach towards life. It is understandable especially in regards to the current economic situation of the world and people of every nation. Inflation is astonishingly high and inclining our expenses further by spending on birthday bashes and weddings may result in serious financial harship. In addition, saving up our hard earned money from these unwanted expenses and then buying something worthy for ourselves such as a good suit, new mobile phone etc could profoundly elevate our happiness. For example, If one spends a major amount of money on a wedding and then it do not workout in the end, all the expense would seem as a huge loss that could leave a person in debt.
To sum up, Even though i completely agree with the fact that one should think of their financial conditions while spending on these occasions to be secure for upcoming and uncertain future, In my perspective any occasion to celebrate with your loved ones should not be missed at all. My mother used to tell me that you can always earn back money but memories with special ones cannot be recreated. As once they pass from this world, memories and few photographs of these celebrations are all that we are left with.
