It is a widely held fact that big cities have a common problem of congestion. This issue stems from limited available roads and high population, but it can be significantly addressed by implementing policies and the construction of more roads.
A significant contributor to problem of congestion in large cities is the limited number of roads. Extensive research highlights that big cities usually have a small number of roads, due to the fact that many of their land resources are widely used for building buildings like skyscrapers companies and many other infrastructures are aimed at increasing the country’s economy than building of roads which have little or no gain. Moreover,Such cities usually have high population and the majority of the population are financially
stable and thus attempt to showcase their wealth by buying multiple expensive cars. As a result, they run their cars on a daily basis hence causing congestion on the road. Consequently, limited roads and high population are two factors that are causing major congestion problems.
However, one viable approach to this predicament will be to invest in the construction of more roads. This will balance infrastructures that bring revenue with roads hence increasing country’s economy. For instance, China is a big country accommodating cities like Xiang Chan and mumbia. These two great cities have well-established infrastructures with many roads built to enable quick movement and access to these infrastructures. In addition, one way to tackle the issues of high proud population will be to implement new policies. By so doing , the number of cars using the highway will reduce, thereby enabling movement and curbing congestion. As a result, the construction of many highways and adopting new policies will together help in reducing congestion.
All things considered, although high population and limited roads poses serious threats to large cities, it is not an insurmountable challenge. By constructing more large roads and implementing new policies in these urban areas, these many roads and policies will enable quick mobility hence curbing congestion.
