Band 5+: Parents are putting a lot of pressure on their children to succeed. What are the reasons? Is this a negative or positive development

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In today’s society, the parents have great expectations of success for their children. While pressure to succeed is a challenge when the kids grow up to adulthood, I still believe this development has both benefits and drawbacks to them in life.

To begin with, there are two reasons that parents give pressure to their children. First, the pressure on their children is necessary, especially in the beginning period like when they go to school or starting a career. They think this is a way to teach their kids good virtues such as discipline, voluntarily when their children are young so far these virtues come with them at all times of life. Furthermore, parents want their children life’s better than their parent life’s. Because the parent minded that the success of their children is a launchpad for the next generations.

On the one hand, the parents are putting pressure on their children to have several benefits with them. The first is that the children save time to find the right way for their hobbies, career with the direction of their parents. Because the parents have enough pressure on their children, they save useful knowledge, even though they do not recognize the importance of this. Moreover, children, who overcome pressure, have a lot more success than other children in the future. On the other hand, when parents are putting a lot of pressure on their kids, they also make them have issues with their mental state like stress and self- deprecation when they do not achieve their target. For instance, easily to find on the internet information talk about children do something stupid when the parent put a lot of pressure on them but they do not achieve it.

In conclusion, pressure on children enough is a good way to teach them about the development of their life, but the parents should ignore the ego of them, to listen and understand their kids better.
