An increasing number of parents in different countries are appealed in home schooling and the statistics become more common. It has drawbacks, particularly in terms of isolation and becaming mature. However, there are some benefits such as safety and control of children life’s. In my opinion, the positive aspects outweigh the negative ones.
It is undeniable that, some children have issues at school and are bullied by classmates. Therefore, homeschooling provides more safety. A further, perhaps, more significant reason is sometimes children with bad habits may affect and encourage others to do same thing such as smoking at school. But, when children study at home, they are supervised by their parents.
Nevertheless, homeschooling has downsides for several reasons. Firstly, children may have troubles with socialising with others since most of time of the day they spent at home instead of making communication with their peers. Another factor that deserves consideration is that children do not explore the world and cannot face with issues in society. As a result, they became more immature than those who go to school.
In conclusion, even though homeschooling may lead to children’s social problems and isolation, the positive sides such as safety of children’s life and control by parents make studying at home more preferable.
