Parents should be punished for the crimes of their children. To what extent do you agree?
There are different points about the topic above. From one side I agree that political view . On the other side I don’t agree that .There are reasons for my both opinions.
On the one hand , I disagree with that point. As an individual , there are everyone’s own rights such as studying,eating,speaking their own ideas,living.owning etc. If parents were punished for the crimes of their children, it would be unfairy doing. I think a lot of parents would not be disagree whether they were punished for the crimes which their children committed. Because parents especially mothers love their children. Thus I don’t support that political view of the government. Besides that in the legislation system of the most countries there is articles like that ” everyone is responsible for their own guilt”. In the twenty fifth article of the constitution of our country there is a rule like that. In my opinion punishments treat the criminals. Therefore being punished for someone else’s guilt would be unfair.
On the other hand , I support that statement above. Because parents a responsible for the doings of their children. If parents bring their children up in good attitude , they will not commit a crime unless external factors affect them. . In many countries individuals who are up to 16 years old are admitted as children.In addition to that fact, in our family code people are confessed as children who are up to 16 ages.If they commit a crime to the age of 16, their parents are punished for this.The reason for this system is that parents must be in control of their children.
To conclude, punishing the parents for the unlawful actions of their children is unfair .Because everyone is responsible for their own guilt. However parents must bring their children up in good behavior. Thus being punished the parents for the unlawful actions of their children.
