Band 6+: Parents should encourage their children to spend more time doing activities than studying. Agree&Disagree

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

There is a view that, parents should inspire children doing more physical training rather then spending much time on studying. While I acknowledge the benefits of regular exercise to both mental and physical health, I still agree that children should spend most of their time studying.

On the one hand, the benefits of sports to youngsters’ physical health are clear to most of us. It helps children maintain a healthy weight, strengthens muscles and bones, and reduces the risk of diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. It was also scientifically proven that 20% of youngsters well-being depends on their aethletic life. While another advantage is that physical activities maintain mental health also. Sports and exercise reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, and can boost self-confidence and overall well-being. For example, a student who goes for a 30-minute jog after school may feel less stressed about exams and be able to concentrate better while studying.

On another hand, the most important aspect of children’s life is their studying period on which, more time should be spent, as most of the knowledge gained while we are young. Spending more time studying allows children to gain deeper knowledge, improve their grades, and perform better in important examinations. A student who dedicates extra hours to mathematics and science may achieve higher test scores and have better opportunities for university admission. In addition, devoting much time on studying develops discipline and study habits. Regular studying helps children develop concentration, time-management skills, and self-discipline, which are valuable in both education and future careers. Children who follow a consistent study schedule often become more organized and responsible as they grow older.

In conclusion, even if there are benefits of spending much time on athletic activities such as improving physical and mental health, I significantly agree that children should dedicate their younger ages on studying as it helps to develop important skills and gaining deeper knowledge easily.
