Encouraging their children to participate more frequently in sporting activities and reduce studying time is what parents should do. While acknowledging this can be significantly beneficial for adolescent’s health status, I still partly agree that it can have negative impact on their academic performance.
Admittedly, there several advantages for children to join in sports more often. Chief among these is benefiting health status. Today, students usually allocate massive amount of time for studying in order to enhance their overall performance on school. Consequently, they have very little time for physical acts and cannot balance a healthy lifestyle. As a result, they are weakened, less flexible and durable compared to what they should be. This, in turn, is disadvantageous for occupations that require good physical conditions. Another contributing factor is gaining new hobbies. By trying various physical activities, they can find out more sports that fit to their characteristics. Thus, children can enjoy playing them and developing vital skills through playing sports such as being clever and well-planning strategies. These factors contribute to the great side of this notion.
However, children may be distracted by those physical exercises and declining their performance in school. If children cannot strike a balance between study and playing sports, they are likely to niggle aside their primary tasks in school and focus more on sports. Hence, they may perform badly in their tests and even drop out from their institutions. In addition, excessive amount of time for physics can lead to unwanted consequence regarding health. To be more precise, if children actives for a long length of time without noticing, they are easily exhausted and may not drain all of their stamina. In other words, it deteriorates their energy and leads to frequent exhaustion which children may lack energy to use for other activities.
In conclusions, I partly agree that children should be encouraged to be more physically active as it is beneficial for developing a healthy lifestyle and grinding vital skills that meet occupational demand. That said, it is also disadvantageous due to lack of imbalance between sports and study, or exhausting the children themselves.
