In my opinion, the main reason is not the people’s attitude, it is the system of education. I support that now the system is comprehensive. In other words, pupil have opportunity to explore every subject and every base of sciences. However, making mandatory to learn everything without exception does not have any sense. Learning every subject should be only on the start of secondary school, to help children to determine if they like particular subject or not. After it, almost every subject should be chosen for passing it on the exam and for the future profession. Otherwise, forcing kids to learn even those things that are not interesting for them demotivates them.
There is also another cause which is not related to schools itself. It is that parents are not supposed to make pressure on students to force them to study better by any cost, even though their grades are not bad in general. Parent’s control on education of their children has to be gentle and it should not make children stressed out. This pressure connects learning with being stressed and it leads to the negative attitude towards to learning.
Overall, significant thought of this essay is to give children choice, whether they want to learn specific subjects or not. Also, whether they want to get the best marks or not. The consequences of such actions will lead to increased motivation among students because they will have positive association with studying.
