Band 5: People are encouraged to get rid of things in order to get newest fashion and the latest Technology. Do the disadvantage of this trend outweigh its advantage. (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 2 Essay)

No doubt, change is the law of nature. People are bored of getting old things and want new things and technology. I believe there are several disadvantages to this statement, as well as some advantages. I will discuss both opinions in the forthcoming paragraphs.

To begin with, there are a lot of demerits to this phenomenon. First and foremostone is, if people buy new fashions to forget the old things it has an effect on people’s lives. To elaborate, some people are interested in buying new things as they forget their old things. Secondly, the new things are advanced in that time. To explain, all things are packed and people do not touch the things before buying. As a result, sometimes things are too cheap, and people buy them but not use them.

Moving further, there are some merits of this phenomenon. At that time people bought everything easilyas well, and it was a great opportunity for everyone. Some years ago, only some items were available in my country, but in that time, all things are available. Furthermore, people buy everything on a budget.

In conclusion, although there are some advantages to people forgetting the old things to buy new things I have a lot of disadvantages to this phenomenon.
