For sure quality of life of modern people is different than it was in the previous centuries. I agree that nowadays world allow people better conditions and makes their existence easier. We may not notice them, but our reality has changed critically.
Firstly, due to the progress humanity has more goods in absolutely different spheres. On the top of that, better medicine and new technologies that dramatically increase our chances for longer and better vitality. For example, people invent medicines and ways of treatment for serious diseases such as measles and smallpox that in previous centuries was deadly. Moreover, modern technologies give opportunities for solving tough problems that also sharply improve humans everyday life. Clearly, that everything starting with current transport system and ending with household appliances were created for improvement public way of life. What’s more, due to technological progress, our knowledge about this world and even extraterrestrial space significantly increased.
Secondly, not only material goods have changed dramatically. It is essential to mention, that nowadays society has absolutely different standards and views on life. Modern world gives chances for everyone to find its own way due to the social mobility. World’s development gives us freedom of choice, while previous generations were more limited. Moreover, many significant things were brought up for discussion, including woman rights, animal and wildlife protection, educational system and many others. Such themes help to expand understanding and improve lifestyle.
In conclusion, I would like to say that obviously everything is changing and has both positive and negative sides. But the progress is impossible not to notice.
