These days, some people seems to argue that lives in 21st century is much better. On the other hand, others are of the opinion that quality of lives were good in earlier centuries. However, I agree to a great extent with the idea that people living in 21st century are having much better life as compare to old centuries. There are certain reasons for my opinion which I wish to highlight in this essay.
In the first place, it would be quite true to say that communication has become much easier. On illustration of this is that many communication applications like WhatsApp, Gmail and other sources are available to have video conferencing calls 24/7 in any of the continents whereas in 1600 it may seem as dream. Another major reason of this side of the topic seem to be that traveling issues have been resolved. For instance, people are covering 1600 kilometer in just 1.5 hours by airbus in comparison to old times people travel few miles in days.
To put the issue into perspective, the third most important point that is worth considering is that lives have become healthier. An example that can be given is that the X-rays, MRI, CT scan, etc. are available at hospitals for the diagnosis of pain. One more factor that needs consideration sources of entertainment has increased. For example, golf clubs, water sports, cinemas, Disney park are providing entertainment not only for children but also for the adults.
Yet there is a dark side to the picture that 21st century world is having individualism culture. An example of this is that people are leaving the parents in old homes and want to live separately from the other family members. In addition to this, the other negative element, playing as significant role may be that relationship have enhanced to materialistic. To give an example is that divorce rate between the partners have increased as people are becoming money oriented.
To put in a nut shell I pen down saying that the indeed it is a debatable issue which need further analysis and discussion. However, in the light of above discussed argument and examples it would be quite safe to conclude that the lives are much better in 21st century as compare to old days.
