This essay will elaborate the case of kids in many countries are involved in some kind of paid work. In my opinion, I agree with this because children have it as valuable work experience and also be responsible for their future.
First of all, most kids nowdays know what they like from a young age because of the impact in social media which is make them want to try a new job who may not be old enough to try and we used to call that part-time job. I often see high school students trying to become part-time baristas, and they receive their salary and they save it to buy their favorite toys without bothering their parents. In my experience, when i was 17 years old, I become a part-time course teacher for student from 1 to 4 elementery school, and got paid per person 1 hour Rp 50.000. At that moment i realised that i already took my responsibility and am old enough to save from my salary. When my mom knew that she happy and proud of me, she said whatever i want she want to support that.
On the other hand, I understand parents concern about this case, especially those who are not used to this kind of environment. Many kids take wrong steps and used it as a wrong side. As we know, in the news, many children work part-time but steal money from the cashier, and some of them just join their friend not because they really want to. For example, my neighbour he was at the same age as me that time, he worked as a music tutor, he made it Rp 150.000 per person pay in advance but then he ran away with the money. So his mother did not allow his younger sibling to work before he was of age.
In conclusion, children should be allowed to choose their step. Hence, i believe there must be an important lesson from paid work like being more organized in doing something but it needs to be emphasized that parents must help to guide them. However, in the future their experience will be useful.
