J. Adel, is a passionate entrepreneur in the healthcare industry with 19 years of experience in managing multispeciality hospitals. He has a knack for overseeing hospital operations, hospital projects, marketing, PR and developing businesses by implementing well-planned business strategies. His extraordinary skills coupled with a passion for transforming the healthcare industry led him to embark on an entrepreneurial journey, where he is currently the Managing Director of Alfa Care Hospitals and the Chief Operating Officer of FLAB Healthcare LLP.
He received an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and later a Master’s in Business Administration. As his career in the healthcare industry progressed, he completed healthcare programmes from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, namely, Neuroscience in Marketing, and Executive Education Programmes in Healthcare Management and Employee Engagement. He also completed a Digital Marketing Strategy course from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore.
Although Adel began his career in the field of Engineering, he soon ventured into the healthcare industry with his role as Marketing Manager at Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre. With zero knowledge in medicine, he took the challenging reins of developing the hospital. He established a strong market presence for them by planning and executing new marketing strategies. Apart from this, he was the driving force behind the way the hospital functioned, applying innovative solutions to tackle problems in process and technology. He set up and managed Meenakshi Labs, Southern Tamil Nadu’s best chain of laboratories.
He later took up the role of General Manager, Operations at Apollo Spectra Hospitals, Chennai. His vast experience in marketing led him to deftly handle business operations thereby increasing efficiency and maximising profits for the healthcare establishment.
Adel also helped build businesses such as Meenakshi Hospital, a 250-bed multispeciality hospital in Thanjavur, and Meenakshi Super Speciality Hospital, another 250-bed hospital in Madurai.
He is an active speaker at conferences and events. He participated in several Government and Healthcare Forums to bring a positive impact in the State’s Healthcare policy. The following is a list of positions held by him in Government and Business forums:

Coming to his prominent achievements, he was instrumental in carrying out successful marketing and advertising campaigns for Meenakshi Mission Hospital. His “Aram Seiydhu Pazhagu ” campaign was widely recognised and appreciated. Another unique campaign of his, “Always First, Always Best” won awards for its original and innovative idea making it stand out among all the other healthcare advertising campaigns.
He proved his mettle during the toughest time the world has seen in recent years – the Covid-19 pandemic. Being the head of a team of leaders, he guided and motivated them to come up with unconventional ideas to manage the challenging situation. He executed innovative solutions such as the “6-stage Ultra Safety Programme” and the Meenakshi Nalam App which allows patients to efficiently connect with their doctors, India’s first Teladoc Telemedicine Centres and India’s first Teladoc Health Robots.
Having served 19 years for the best institutions in the healthcare industry, and gathered enough skills and knowledge, he believed that this would be the best time to make his entrepreneurial dream come true. To fulfil his long-awaited dream, he set up FLAB Healthcare, a healthcare consulting firm that is committed to bringing about quality healthcare infrastructure and operational efficiency in the healthcare industry. FLAB Healthcare recently won an award from Silicon India Startup City for being ‘One of the 10 Best Healthcare Consulting Startups in 2023’. They were also recognised by Business connect Magazine as ‘One of the 20 Most Promising Startups to Watch in 2023.’
