There has an ongoing debate about the services that governments should investing more money to improve it. A significant amount of people says governments should take care of public services more such as education and healthcare. Others argue that arts and culture should be funded as same as the public services. In this essay, i will attempt to discuss both opinions and give reasons of each viewpoint.
To begin with, the one of most important factors to measure the success of any country is fulfillment of its population by essential needs as healthcare system and educational system. For instance, governments should invest on school, universities and institutes to raise generations are capable to be productive to their countries moreover, to minimize the rate of unemployment individuals. Also, society without a proper healthcare system will be full of pandemics and diseases and this will affect the quality of people’s life.
Arts and culture are also very important because it shapes the identity of any country furthermore, it attracts tourists, so consequently the economy will be nourished. In my opinion, we have to prioritize funding the public services
than investing in arts and cultural places like museums and galleries .
In conclusion, we cannot deny the importance of both sides and affection of each one in our society. Although, the priority should always be to the needs more than the entertainment.
