These days, there have been a switching roles between parents, fathers tend to stay at home taking care of their children, while mothers do the work. I believe that the most significant reason for this phenomenon is the increasing awareness of gender equality. This essay believe that this is a positive improvement that will support women to have better opportunity in jobs and equalize parents roles in households.
It has been an ongoing issue that women have fewer job opportunities than men. Companies have a tendency to choose men over women to do their work. For example, in coorporate companies mostly chosen to be the leaders instead of women. This can be a proof that there is an unequal job opportunities between men and women.
Another thing is that, from decades ago women play bigger role in household chores. For example, women need to take care of their children and do houseworks, while men only play a small part of that. By giving option for men to stay at home taking care of their child, it will prevent them for overworking and prevent housework to be a burden to one gender.
As a summary, allowing man to stay home and taking care of children will divide parents’ roles equally and give women better job inquiries and giving them chances to pursue the career work that they want.
