Band 5+: Researching and treating diseases is too costly so it would be better to invest in preventative measures. To what extent do you agree

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is argued that prevention is better than cure, and different individuals have varied opinions on this. However, I completely agree with this notion, and I will examine this statement and provide my opinion in upcoming paragraphs.

To begin with, health is the paramount of a person’s life, and there are various reasons why prior investments in healthcare must be encouraged. The first and foremost is life threatening ailments can be diagnosed way before they get worse. To justify, if a person feels exhausted or nauseous during day-to-day activities and is unfit. It is crucial for that individual to seek medical help as these symptoms could be highly dangerous. Secondly, the monetary resources should be expended on public health and welfare which is a immensely overlooked aspect.

Moving further, scientific research and providing aid for ailments is an expensive approach. The government ought to put their best foot forward and initiate public healthcare amenities as it would be really advantageous for the world’s population. Besides this, inflation is on its peak, in an era where economic balance becomes unstable with heavy expenditure on other facilities such as clothing, accommodation and food. The high medical costs should be ameliorated. Not only covering for people’s medical expenses but also the higher authorities must create awareness about self-detection for diseases like cancer. Because of an irresponsible amount of attention allocated towards human health, many unhealthy food stuffs are being consumed by individuals resulting in an overall deterioration of the digestion process in a human body. Despite several awareness campaigns about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, people constitute unhealthy meals which increase cases of obesity, a compelling heart of many ailments. I contend that the government should obligate certain measure such as free health checkups and provide medical facilities from time to time.

To conclude, I strongly believe that health is a priority, and it should be looked into by the authorities. As it is important to provide aid to all the patients that suffer from life taking diseases.
