School does not always prepare students for real life, so many people believe that practical subjects should be included in education. I strongly agree with this opinion because life skills are essential for independence and can improve society as a whole.
One reason why schools should teach practical skills is that many teenagers graduate without knowing how to manage basic responsibilities. As a result, many students faces with everyday problems when they grew up. Learning basic things like cooking or budgeting in school will reduce problems like this and will help teenagers to cope in the future. For example pupil who know how to budget and cook meals are usually better prepared for adult life than those who have not learned these skills
Also second reason is that they rely less on parents in adult life. Students after graduation highly depence on parents who have no life experience. And if they going to study abroad, probably they will not able to life there comfortably. For instance teenager who ended school and going to study in another country at university, after one semester come back to home, because they could not get used for life without parents. And if they had been taught this knowledge, this would not have happened.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that schools should teach practical life skills in addition to traditional academic subjects. This would help students become more independent, responsible, and better prepared for adulthood.
