In this digital age, some people believe that traditional learning is no longer essential as students can now search for and acquire a vast amount of knowledge online and still achieve good grades. While online learning and the use of technology to support education have become widespread, I still believe that attending a physical school is beneficial for students.
In this technology era, it is true that technology and the internet are valuable tools for assisting students, a fact that became particularly evident during the COVID-19 pandemic. To illustrate, when the pandemic hit, students were forced to rely on platforms like Zoom and Shub for their studies. This necessitated a significant shift in learning habits, but it was the only way for students to continue their education.
However, the importance of schools cannot be overstated. Direct instruction from a teacher is generally more effective and allows for immediate clarification of doubts compared to online learning. Human interaction facilitates better understanding, making traditional schooling irreplaceable.
Furthermore, the information available online is not always accurate. In a school setting, the curriculum is carefully curated by educators, ensuring the quality and reliability of the content. On the internet, students must sift through vast amounts of information to find what they need, which can be a daunting task.
In my opinion, attending school remains essential for students due to the numerous benefits it offers. Technology and online resources should be used as supplementary tools to enhance learning and explore new concepts.
