It is consented by the expertises that people would be subjected by some health problems if they consume excessive amount of junk food. Some people opine this could be tackled by offering education, while other think this will not work effectively. From my perspective, I gravitate towards the latter viewpoint due to some underlying reasons.
On the one hand, giving educational programs regarding detrimental effects of eating huge amount of junk food is a feasible solution to ease this situation. For example, people suffer from some diseases such as obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular if their intake passes the accepted level. However, this soluton can somewhat not solve the problem at its root, since some individuals are ossessed with junk foods that they can not get rid of them, and they are not aware of how this type of food could do harms to their health until they get diseases.
On the other hand, some stricter methods should be adopted to address this situation. To elaborate, the government should enact a law which limits the junk food production for the sake of public health in the long run. The more the suppliers decrease, the more demands of people will decline. Additionally, it is crucial for the authorities to lower the taxes and to raise the average salary for the public. Since the inhabitants are posed heavy taxes on whereas they possess low income, thus, they are inclined to buy junk food which is affordable without perceiving its adverse effects on their health. Therefore, higher salary and lesser taxes will asisst the public in raising their living standard. They have more money to get higher quality products while still maintain other daily necessities.
In conlusion, it is undeniable that education initiatives help people to raise their awareness of negative impacts of junk food, however, I belive to solve the root of the problem, some stricter methods should be applied, encompassing limitation of junk food production, taxes reduction and salary increase.
