Language is a bridge for communication between two people. Science experts assume that in upcoming years all individuals worldwide will speak a common lingo. This upcoming foreseen development has some benefits, however I opine that it has greater side effects.
The focal reason of generalising the vocab nationally will eradicate the language barrier. In the current era, there are multiple dialects being used in conversation depending on the country, and province you reside in. Pals in the society find it difficult to initiate any conversation with locals while traveling or exploring new places. By keeping a common mother tongue these disparities can be vanished.
On the flip side, this anticipated change has many more disadvantages. Firstly, cultural identification will vanish with time. It is observed that the universe is full of diverse cultures. In fact, each country has its own lingo, and cultural beliefs. Implementing single dialect will extinct the culture, due to which the upcoming generations would never get the learn about the mother tongue used by their ancestors. For instance, both my parents belong to different nations, and since my childhood I have been taught both of them due to which I am Bilingual today.
Another contraindication associated with this would be unemployment. Currently, there are many language teachers who are bread winners for their families. This development can disturb their professional growth, and they will be left with no jobs if the lingo gets generalised. Which can lead to a huge imbalance of the economy for the country related to joblessness. For example, Canada recently decided on changing the medium of study from English to French which made many native dialect tutors go unemployed.
In a nut shell, I firmly believe that centralising the speech will limit the job possibility for the youngsters, along with vanishing the cultural language. Despite of a positive effect this forecast by researchers can have adverse effects on us.
