Band 6+: "Since most information about culture and history can be found online, museums and art galleries are no longer needed. To what extent do you agree or disagree?"

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays there is an attitude toward the unpopularity of museums and art galleries due to the Internet revolution. It is recently argued that people can read about culture and history on the Internet in an online way rather than go to museums. It seems that I strongly disagree with this opinion and think historical galleries are the best sources for being aware of the past regardless of any technological improvement.

First, I believe that seeing anything plays a major role in understanding that without any previous science. It is evident that In museums and art galleries, valuable stuff and objects related to the past are documented in one location in order to be observed by visitors. For example, consider that one reads about the Mona Lisa painting on the Internet. In this way, he merely can memorize the theoretical features of this artwork rather than sense any textural features and details.

Secondly, a notable number of people are limited in access to the Internet thus they cannot explore on the Internet for history topics. Understanding the past is one of the major factors in their personality growth on the contrary they cannot read web blogs. Thus, they should go to museums in companionship with their parents.

To conclude, while we are living in the Internet age and can use submitted historical information on a variety range of blogs, we cannot get the right understanding of our history and cultures due to the lack of visual details. Museums and art galleries are a traditional way to gain information, on the contrary, are the best of all time.
