We must admit that people are choosing to have children later in life, with some arguing that it is good, while others believe it creates new challenges for the society. This essay will examine both perspectives and try to understand if despite some drawbacks, modern birth rate is a positive factor or a negative one.
On one hand, having children later in you’re life, when you have made a worthy career, can have a great impact on the quality of your family’s life. You would be able to provide your heirs with the outstanding education and a superior career start.
On the other hand, having children later in you’re life means that as they grow up, you would be in you 60s. And not only you, but the rest population would be aging. Due to that, our successors will have to work not only for them selves, but also to sustain their parents. For instance, if we look at modern Japan, we will see that that the new generation is working up to 80 hours a week at maximum efficiency, just to pay for their parents and live a mediocre life them selves.
In conclusion, I believe that it depends on when to think about having children: in your late 30s, when you have made a significant career, or in your late 20s early 30s, when you are still young, but you haven’t made a substantial career.
