There is considerable debate about whether promoting renewable energy sources can be the only technique to tackle the climate change or the comination of both renewable and non-renewable energy sources can be a more practical way. Although renewable energy sources can can also address climate change to a certain extent, I believe that the combination of both kinds of energy sources may matigate with this pressing issue more effectively.
On the one hand, those who considered the renewable energy sources as the only way to tackle the climate change believe that these sources may not produce harmful gases which affect climate. They argue that this kind of way may not generate greenhouse gases, hence they may not result in global warming and climate change. For example, the solarpanels in the green technology are used to combate climate change, generating electricity without producing greehouse and harmful gases. However, in practical, this cannot be made possible, as we need non-renewable energy sources in many sectors.
On the other hand, it is widely acknolwedged that using both; renewable and non-renewable energy sources, can be the best practical approach. They believe that a wide range of sectors such as industry, space sector, avaition, and exploration are using non-renewable sources. They contend that, with the passage of time, the over-reliance on these sources can be minimized but at the present, it is considered as impractical. For instance, studies show that heavy machinary and planes accounted for 80% and 100% usage of non_renewable energy sources, which can not avoided at the present. As a result, we can rely on both sources to address climate change more efficiently.
In conclusion, while renewable energy sources can play their role in matigating the climate change, I believe that using both renewable and non-renewable energy sources to tackle the issue, can be the best approach.
