Almost all universities nowadays spend time studying the history that happened from the beggining of the world while others decide that this time will be usefull studying and doing research to improve our actual lifes. Do we have tou spend more time studying where we come from or do we use that time in order to discover and improve our actual lifes?
On one hand, I think that is crucial to understand the history of every field that we are studying because the context is fundamental to identify trends and have a cultural background. For example, knowing the history of how our country evolve in terms of pilitics, economy or industry to let us know how we arrive to the actual situation.
On the other hand, it is true that the time spent on the history is higher than the optimal time should be because they provide a lot of details and context that is not fundamental to understand the history and the overall conext. Thex explaix too much things that they will forget because is not essential. Moreover, the unique thing that exists is the present moment and we should use more resources to les us live our lives longer, healthier and happier that is why we should invest more time investigating and testing to improve.
In conclusion, I think that the key is to find a balance between the time spent in history and the once used in improvement and investigation. Altough the time destinated to history is higher tHan It should be and that time must be reduced a bit, know at least a minimum context is indispensable.
