Many people are believing that individuals living in the 21st century have got a better quality of life compared to people from previous centuries. There are many reasons of this opinion, such as advances in technology, healthcare, and education. However, some argue that modern life brings also many problems, including stress and environmental issues. In this essay, I will discuss both sides before giving my point of view.
Firstly, the improvements in medicine and technology was one of the biggest advantages of modern life. People have lived longer due to better healthcare and vaccines. For example, in the past, many diseases was deadly, but today they can treating easily. Also, technology helps people to communicate more easier and travel in different countries for work or holidays. If a person wanted to learn new skills, they have access to online courses, which was not possible in the past.
On the other hand, modern life have also many challenges. The development of big cities leads to pollution and noise, which affects people’s health. Many individuals suffers from stress because of work pressure and the fast pace of life. Moreover, in the past, people have spent more time with their families, but today they are too busy for enjoy simple moments. Many companies realised that happiness was not only about money, but also about work-life balance.
In my opinion, life in the 21st century is generally more better, but it depends of the person’s lifestyle. Some people prefers the convenience of technology, while others think that modern problems makes life difficult.
In conclusion, although life today was more comfortable in many ways, it also brings many disadvantages. I believe that people should try to balance modern benefits with keep traditional values.
