Certain people believe that international tourism causes more harm than good while others believe it to be a positive practice that benefits the economy and preserves culture.

Firstly, the reason as to why people perceive international tourism negatively is because tourists can be the root of many problems. These include the following: littering, cause of disruption, and many more. For example, in France, tourists flood the streets in parts of the year, this is especially the case when its summer, due to the international break which happens. Furthermore, when they are coupled together it creates noise pollution which disrupts the residents living there. All these problems are affecting the people of that certain country, resulting in their daily lives being ruined.

Secondly, tourism also benefits a lot of countries and people. To take for instance Mongolia is a rural country that isn’t a very developed country and depends on external income which includes tourism. Suppose you are a business owner of a resort in Mongolia, because most Mongolian people visited the parts that make your place special your income is low, however tourists can boost it significantly by spending their money on you. Additionally, cultures are preserved through memories, and when it is shared and spread it lasts longer which is why it is best when individuals from other countries visit and experience our culture to spread it.

To conclude, I believe international tourism is needed and shouldn’t be stopped, because of its wonderful uses in preserving culture and maintaining economic balance.
