Nowadays, it is a widespread debate about who should be responsible of taking care of the environment. Some people believe it is a duty of ordinary citizens, others argue that the government have more influence on our planet. In my opinion, the commitment for looking after nature lies with all human beings, but the authorities hold the primary responsibility by implementing regulations and rising social awareness.
On the one hand, nature protection depends on individuals, as they can determine their consumption habitats. For example, using public transport instead of owning a privet car could help in decreasing an array of vehicles emissions. Moreover, volunteering in a community work days and encouraging acquaintances in taking part in different conservation projects would be invaluable contribution as well. Additionally, people can reduce their consumption of goods and support recycling efforts.
On the other hand, I agree that the bulk of responsibility of environmental protection lies with the government. First of all, the administration could produce fines on those who pollute green areas, endangered species or threaten their habitats. Moreover, introducing laws on carbon dioxide emissions could promote the use of electric cars and more green resources. Finally, government can provide education programs in schools and workplaces to accumulate public knowledge about eco-friendly behavior.
In conclusion, every inhabitant of this planet has some impact on environment. In my view, the responsibility of guiding the crowed in the right, eco-friendly direction belongs to governances, due to their awareness about obscure problem and possibility to address them globally.
