A hot topic of discussion about leadership skills are inborn or through extensive training. From my own view, leadership skills can develop by practicing.
On the one hand, some individuals are born with some innate abilities suitable for a leader such as assertiveness, self-confidence, decision making. Right when they were just a kid, their skills were performed just by the game they played with peers, or in the classroom, some special kids had been chosen as a class leader and hold it for many years. For instance, the nobility or senior officials choose their children to inherit for their company or their heritage. They believe that their bloodline is naturally born as a leader, owning the same abilities as their parents to become successful in the future.
On the other hand, I agree with the view that leadership skills can develop. Most of key factors to create a leader can learn through practical experiences, failures, extensive training. Nowadays, many schools are opened just to teach the kids about the leadership skills, including: decision making, strategy thinking, communicating, critical thinking. Children who do not have any inborn abilities as a leader, now have an opportunity to study a program that help them to become good commanders. Even though these techniques will take long times for you to master it, but it is worth, it can help you accessing to employment easier, making you looks valuable in the employers.
In conclusion, although the fact that people who naturally born with abilities to become a leaders will have many advantages, I strongly believe that leadership is a skill that people can master it through trainings and failures.
