Regarding the government’s investment, supporting artists like musicians, painters, and poets is always a controversial topic which receives opinions that differ from each individual. While there are more vital problems that need to be addressed, I strongly believe that artists still deserve to receive funds from the authorities.
Granted, there are several severe issues that need funding by the authorities, including environmental problems and poverty. First and foremost, the environment determines the quality of human life. For instance, if there is no investment from the authorities, the activities to rebuild or preserve nature which require long-term progress, is going to be postponed. Consequently, numerous challenges such as air pollution, water contamination and natural disasters are not suppressed in time. Similarly, poverty is also a major problem, leading to social inequality. This can be supported by the evidence of non-educated children in underdeveloped countries, particularly in poorer areas where there is no subsidy from governments in education. As a result, the whole nation can not develop entirely as the gap in social classes is widened by time.
Despite these needs, the important role that arts play in our life is undeniable. A nation’s culture is contributed by many forms of traditions which are mainly depicted through arts. Nevertheless, there are lots of difficulties for an art institution to gain profit from their work. Therefore, without help from the government, artists will have to drop their work to seek a more stable life. Furthermore, arts and music also have an influential impact on human life. It’s not merely a source of entertainment but deeply a source of sentimental values. Consequently, funding for artists will encourage them to make more dedicated and inspiring works.
In conclusion, there are a lot of phenomena that need financial support. However, arts value can not be neglected, so that receiving funds will still be a major support for artists.
