Online shopping platforms are developing significantly in the recent years. Nowadays, some cities are converting traditional markets into online shopping platforms. The leading causes of this trend are major advancement in online fashion industry and covenience of digital shopping. From my perspectives, this variation has more positive impact on local societies.
To begin with, in contemporary era, internet has made everything accessible in short time. Majority of youngsters do not want to go to the markets for shopping because they know internet has solution for them through digital shopping. A large number of online brand runs their marketing campaigns on internet with a clever option of “Oder it Now Anywhere”, which makes shopping more efficient and convenient for everyone. Therefore, cities are adopting new trend according to citizens changing attitude towards retails.
This development has several positive impact on local communities. The primary effect is lesser environmental pollution in urban areas. If there is options available for online shopping less people will to visit local markets, which in turn help to minimize waste generation and air pollution. Another positive development is reduction in noise pollution, which is directly linked to transport behaviour. Moreover, the problem of crowd in busy traditional street can also be overcomed via onling purchase systems.
Taking all points into consideration, accessibilty of internet and users changing priorities are the main causes of replacement in traditional street markets with online shopping platforms. I would argue that this is a positive development as it allow to mitigate various environmental problems while meeting users need.
