In my view, almost all teachers want to give students a new experience in their life, and traveling to another country is no exception. It can give them a new outlook on life, teach them how this world is organized, and in still important lessons in their lifetime.
Firstly, when students arrive in a new country, they want to see everything and may not want to study. We can understand them; it is an amazing opportunity to explore the culture of another country, including their folklore, food, and traditions. However, they are sent there primarily for studying, which is the main idea of international exchange visits. The first advantage is the interaction with other teenagers. After this experience, when they return to their homeland, they may try to improve their study methods. If a student enjoys this experience, it may provide them with a reason to return to the country and pursue work or further studies there.
Secondly, there are numerous advantages, and the disadvantages cannot compete with them. One of the biggest disadvantages is the financial burden on many students because visiting another country is neither easy nor cheap (if the school does not cover all the costs). However, it can also serve as an incentive to study more, especially if they aspire to live there in the future. If schools engage in such programs frequently, students could become more enthusiastic about studying.
In conclusion, I believe that it is right to give teenagers the chance to experience something new during their school years. It can create unforgettable memories of their teenage years.
