As it is enunciated by a proportion that individual should have the right to strike in all jobs while others have contradictory viewpoint. In my opinion, having the right to strike in all jobs should be encouraged up to some extent but under the proper rules and regulations.
On one hand, Employees should have the voice for their concerns no matter in which profession they belong to. For an instance, some employees work under extreme pressure. If they continue to work under the stress for a long time, it can take a toll on their mental wellbeing. On the other hand, there can be potential discrimination that they encounter when working because some employees are from different gender orientations or else if they are immigrants. Nowadays, racism is a huge problem that employees are facing which is needed to tackle immediately by the relevant institutions. Furthermore, pay disparity is a massive concern in today’s time where government and private sector should step on to provide solutions. For these reasons, it is evident that having the right to strike in all jobs is necessary to get what employees need if the authorities have failed to fulfil them.
On the other hand, some sectors which are mainly involve with people’s day to day lives such as medical sector, transportation sector etc. need to be careful with their actions.Although it is understandable that employees in these professions have the fully right to strike in order to get what they entitled to receive, they should need to engage in strike as the way it will not harm the public. For example, if the employees in medical sector strike, it will have an enormous impact on people lives and same goes for the transportation sector. Thereby, striking balance between both is a must for the employees in these sectors.
In conclusion, employees have the right to strike regardless of their profession, but they need to consider the impact on the society happens so that their actions should not be so extreme.
